ELO is a rating that reflects a team's skill. When you beat a good team, your ELO rating goes up, however, when you suffer an upset, your ELO rating goes down. Teams from last season have had their ELO carried forward to summer. New teams start with an ELO of 1400. ELO automatically adjusts after every game.
