Game Play
Franchises will receive a minimum of 5 pool play games. The top 6 franchises will qualify for playoffs. Teams play maximum of 3 men and min 2 men on the court and playing ‘tournament rules’ (stricter on net violations and carries).
Pool play games and play-in games are to 21, cap 25.
Semi Finals and Finals games are to 25, no cap.
Teams are ranked by wins, then differential (no head-to-head)
Playoffs reseed in case of an upset in the play-in round.
Rotation
Teams may opt to have a player not player an entire game. However, if they do chose to utilize a sub it has to be in one of the following formats:
- Traditional Even Subbing format - Players sub out on serve evenly and adhere to gender requirements on the court
- One-for-One- Before the game the captain announces to the ref and opposing captain that a player is a direct sub for another player on their team. This allows them to sub in and out whenever the captain decided but only for the players declared
Deficit Rule
If a team has to go down to 5 players, a team has to take a 3 point deficit for the next games to 21 with 5 on the court, if team goes down to 4 it will be a forfeit. In the event of an injury or an extenuating circumstance, the team can pick up an available player from the pool the day of, or the opposing captain can waive the 3 point deficit

While we love pets, most of the venues have pet policies that we must enforce and we ask our players to follow these rules. Venues that are pet friendly will be marked.
We know that part of the fun is having a couple drinks with your friends while hanging out on the sidelines. That said, most of the venues we play at have strict rules regarding the consumption of beer and alcohol that we must enforce and we ask our players to follow these rules. When possible LI-Kick secures the proper permits to allow players to bring their own booze, in these cases those leagues and tournaments will indicate that this is allowed.
We thank you for supporting our bar sponsors and facilities by not attempting to sneak in outside drinks.
All New Teams come in at the median ELO of the league.
General
Yes! Each year over a thousand different players play in one of our leagues across Long Island. The size of our leagues varies by sport and location but range from anywhere from 50 - 300 players in any season. All our leagues are coed, and many are split evenly between men and women.

How to Join
Complete Team
A team captain registers and pays for the entire team. You'll need the names, emails and birthdates of all your teammates. Team size and gender requirements vary by sporting_event. Corporate Teams are always welcome in any of our leagues.
