League play will run from 8pm to 9:30pm, and we'll have open play until the venue closes at 10 pm.
In 'Indy' leagues you join the league as an individual Every week and game, you get paired with a new partner and opponent based on your standings in the league, ensuring an even matchup
All leagues are Ladder Style: This means every week your opponents are those who are ranked closest to you in the standings. The best players work their way up to court 1, while newer players are grouped on the lower courts. This allows for fair matchups and allows players of varying abilities to play in the same league.
Join our Facebook Group Long Island Pickleball Partners (over 1,000 members). Players often post there about tournaments and to find partners.
Naughty List- A player who no-show no-calls will be added to 'naughty list'. Naughty list players will not be scheduled until they confirm they will be in attendance. If that player still shows up we will still make adjustments to the schedule to get their games in for that week.

Frequently Asked Questions
All New Teams come in at the median ELO of the league.
If 50.1% of the roster is returning, teams come in at their previous ELO from that league. If they are new to a location/league , teams will either come in at a low median elo or a high median elo based on performance in other LI-Kick Leagues and locations
General
ELO is a rating that reflects a player's skill relative to other players in the league. When you beat a good player, your ELO rating goes up, however when you suffer an upset, your ELO rating goes down. Our leagues use ELO as it continually adjusts to match a player's evolving skill level and provides a reliable metric for matchmaking and rankings. Players from previous seasons have their ELO carry over while new players will be assigned an 'initial ELO' to start their season.
Yes, in order to give players the most games at the most appropriate level you may play the same people or teams from week to week.
If you are a returning player ELO carries over from your previous league! If you are a new player, players get asked if they would like to start at a high, median or low initial ELO. If they do not answer they automatically start at a low elo
