Congrats to 'A' Bracket Champs Multiple Scoregasm! It was a really exciting championship week, close games in all of the matches with each game in A bracket being decided by 1 goal. Nail biters all around!
In the promotion/relegation games Unathletico and No Scrubs FC held onto their D1 status. Maraton and La Isla' s fate hang in suspense until the spring season. All teams have fought hard and Maraton has been steadily climbing towards first division over the past few years, I am excited to see if they will rise to the challenge with a promotion opportunity.
I would also like to take a moment to shout out the 3 free agent teams this season. It's not easy to come into the game knowing no one on your team facing teams who have played together for years. However, "Just Try'na Kick it" came in third in D2 and crushed it and my own team "For Fuchs Sake" started with many players who haven't played ever or in years. Im so proud of the girls on my team in particular - Liz, Daman and Taylor - these girls stepped up to the challenge weekly and scored the majority of our goals this season and I actually don't think Liz ever stopped running during any game this season - even on the sidelines. I look forward to seeing you guys on the field again and see how far you guys grow with each season you play!
