Thank you for being part of this weekends tournament at Ducks Stadium, where we are taking Kickball to the Big Leagues! You'll get to play Kickball on the same field as the Ducks play on. You're guaranteed to play 3 games, with the top 4 teams advancing to the single-elimination playoffs.
Asides from all the awesome on field Kickball action, we'll also have a DJ, a festive fall photo backdrop for your pictures, a roving photographer, flip cup tournament and more.
The concession stands will be open and selling food and beverages, please support our wonderful hosts, the LI Ducks. Note the concession stands are CASH ONLY, however there is an ATM on premises.
NO OUTSIDE FOOD/BEVERAGES ARE PERMITTED: Leave the coolers at home for this one. The stadium will have beverages (alcoholic and not), and food available for purchase. Failure to abide by this rule may result in your removal from the stadium.
NO CLEATS: There are no cleats permitted on the field. Please wear sneakers or indoor turf shoes.
WEATHER: Right now, the forecast for Saturday is cloudy and high 60's. Sunday's forecast is mid 50's. Dress appropriately. I suggest bringing blankets to sit on and use on the sidelines.
LIVE UPDATES: We'll also be updating the scores and standings in real time the day of the tournament, please check this website to see the latest results and standings.
CHECK IN: Gates open at 9am. You'll check in at the gate for a COVID check and receive a wristband. All players must check in individually. First pitch rolls out at 10:15, come early!
SPECTATORS: Spectators are permitted. The maximum capacity of the Ballpark with Coronavirus restrictions is 500 and we will not meet that threshold.
POOL ASSIGNMENT: Captains will randomly draw an envelope at the 9:45 captains' meeting. The envelope will include your teams tournament schedule and pool assignment.
POOL PLAY: You'll play 3 pool play games. Each game is 5-innings or 40 minutes (which ever comes first). No new inning can start after 40 minutes has surpassed (a horn will sound to indicate this). Games can end in a tie and there are no extra innings in pool play games.
PLAYOFFS: The top 2 teams in each group will advance to a 4 team single elimination playoff. They will play down to a winner. The Championship game will run 7 innings.
TIE BREAKERS: Round Robin games will be a tie if the game is tied after 5-innings. In case of a tie in the standings, Head-to-Head is the first tie breaker. The second tie breaker is run differential. The third tie breaker is runs against. The fourth tie breaker is the kick-and-run. Please note: A 6 run differential is the highest differential that will be recorded.
PRIZES: The Captain of the winning team will receive a championship shot ski. Designed by Back Country Customs and the championship team will receive customized trophies!
UMPIRES: LI-Kick umpires will be at every field.
FLIP CUP TOURNAMENT: After the playoff games have been announced there will be a flip cup tournament on the concourse level. Teams of 3 will go head to head against each other. You do not need to be on the same kickball team to play together in the flip cup tournament. Winners will take home custom medals and $20 gift cards to our sponsor bar, Fatty McGee's in East Islip.
You can expect to receive two pretournament emails. One 5 days before the tournament with general info and a second email 1-2 days before with more specific info including a schedule. You can always email info@li-kick.com with any questions.
No. You and your teammates should decide what to wear (hint; everyone chooses to wear black. Be original!)
